Perspective
This body of work is an exploration of how our visual perception operates on many different planes, challenging our sense of perspective as it relates to the landscape and our selves. The idea of perspective has many meanings. It can refer to an attitude or a point of view. It may be shaped by personal history, psychological and spiritual experiences.
In this body of work, the color, texture, movement and point of view pulls the viewer in – allowing self-reflection. Perspective takes a deeper look at the overlooked landscapes we pass everyday. The landscape is a metaphor for oneself. It is only when we take the time to look longer and deeper into ourselves, do we truly see what is in front of us.
